This is actually a combination of events

Around winter time.. one guy had a cold and it was bad.. very noisy cough and he obviously had the sniffles..
..he sneezes and all this mucus lands on another mans business suit.. YUCK!!
seeing the man in business suit's face was priceless..
the guy with the cold apologized and he wipes the snot with his hankerchief off the victim.. the man in suit just said dont touch me anymore.. he cleaned up as much as he could with some tissue someone gave him..
I could not watch anymore I had to look away and laugh.. and I can laugh because things have happened to me similiar.. not on the subway.. whew!

Another time saw a man ripping up newspaper and eating it!!!. Really..

There was one woman asking for money and she said even food will do.. she is hungry and homeless.. Somebody gave the woman some food.. I forget what it was..but It was unopened still packaged.. the woman handed back the food and said I dont want this and threw it at the guy.. talk about ungrateful!!.. then a man who obviously had money and was well dressed gave her a $10 dollar bill .. and she says to him come on I know you have more than that!!..

would always see a guy on the 'N' train and through out Astoria when I lived there.. this man does not speak.. so he hits people on the shoulder..or on the back to get their attention..and it is not softly either.. once he gets your attention he sticks his hand out palm up.. and when people shake their head or say no.. he walks away but goes back again and does the same thing... LOL...

A coworker told me he had seen one man who was picking something out of his hair.. and then sticking it in his mouth and eating it.. my coworker did not want to get close to the man but he knew it was lice!!

Sorry if I grossed anyone out..

On a lighter note.. there are alot of people who sing on the trains for money.. it is nice to see everyone else on the train enjoying their music.. to see them getting into it.. people kind of join together unconsciously ..there is like an unspoken comraderie when everyone is in the moment..

haha, I remember when I went to NY, we were on a train to go back to the bus/train/etc area, and there was a guy proselytizing. Then the woman next to me started coughing super loudly, and started to tell me that she hated people who did that, because some mormons came to her house one christmas and said to her "do you know that there are people who could end the world right now???"
